THE NANYANG POLYTECHNIC VOICE ENSEMBLE is the resident vocal group throughout the campus and we aim to spread vocal dynamism and appreciation of choral/vocal art through "outreaches" like lunchtime concerts, and our annual production, i.e. ESCAPADES OF THE WORLD.

ESCAPADES OF THE WORLD
Celebrate vibrancy and styles as we, the Nanyang Polytechnic Voice Ensemble (NYPVE) takes a spin as we present songs written over time and location, and adding more as we draw closer to our annual concert, ESCAPADES OF THE WORLD, tentatively set in November at the NYP Theatre for the Arts.

The concert this year will also include an adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's PHANTOM OF THE OPERA besides the usual choral fare from a choir concert.

This blog is updated as and when we have any updates. Tag us at the meantime or email us any of your inquiries as well! For members, please direct your questions to the Concert Committee.

SPREAD THE WORD!
School choirs and members of the public (within the Republic of Singapore) are invited and tickets are given out on a first-come-first-served basis. The concert is free-seating. Terms and conditions do apply.

Ticketing details would be posted nearer to the concert day as well.

 About Us

The Nanyang Polytechnic Voice EnsembleThe Nanyang Polytechnic Voice Ensemble (NYPVE) represents the melody of the campus, with enticing tunes and delirious rhythms set to songs which would be defined as the Nanyang Sound.

Lead by Mr Ong Kok Leong, the Voice Ensemble takes a steady stake on choral and singing techniques as our members are also actively participating in events like caroling, the NYP Graduation Ceremony and the upcoming Jam & Hop on 2 June.

The NYPVE celebrated her 10th Anniversary with a Christmas-themed concert, CANTUS at the NYP Theatre for the Arts on 9 December 2005.

Nanyang Polytechnic - Theatre for the Arts
Spread over 30.5 hectares of land (about the size of 60 football fields), Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) is situated next to the Yio Chu Kang MRT station. The modern campus, with its new and state-of-the-art facilities, is modelled on a town centre concept to provide all the conveniences of a self-contained "Teaching and Learning City".

Some of the facilities found in the campus include a fully computerised library, specialist laboratories, a 300-seater Theatre for the Arts and a 1,200-seater auditorium.

The NYPVE will be performing once again at the Theatre for the Arts for Escapades of the World.
